The SWEMA Scholarship

SWEMA encourages postsecondary students to consider a career path in electric metering. We award at least one $1,000 SWEMA Scholarship annually to a student demonstrating interest in the field, academic achievement, leadership, and significant community service.

Application Criteria
Applicants for the SWEMA Scholarship must:

  • Be recommended by a SWEMA member
  • Be an electrical engineering, power engineering, computer engineering, or electrical engineering major—or demonstrably similar
  • Demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, and significant community service
  • Attend a US accredited college or university
  • Have 30+ hours with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Plan to enroll for 12+ hours in the coming fall semester

Application Deadline
Applications must be postmarked on or before April 30, 2008.

Two (2) letters of recommendation
One sealed official transcript
