For more than 70 years, employees from electric
utilities across the nation have met at the one-week Annual Utility
Electrical Metering School to study the latest technologies in metering.
Each fall, the school is conducted in Bryan, near the Texas A&M
University campus, home of the Bush Presidential Library.
The Annual Utility Electrical Metering School has a world of expertise
behind its development and direction. A committee comprised of utilities
and manufacturers/suppliers, in cooperation with the Southwest Electrical
Metering Association, works with the Texas Engineering Extension Service
of The Texas A&M University System. These groups continually monitor
the school, making improvements to make it the best school of its kind.
Quality instructors are selected from Texas A&M University and
manufacturing and electric utility organizations.
For the cost of most one-day seminars, registered participants get a
week of intensive training in their choice of four courses.
This year's Annual Utility Electrical Metering School will be held October
18-22, 2004 at the Brazos Center in Bryan, Texas.
