It is time to make plans to attend the 2010 SWEMA Spring Conference that is to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana on the bank of the Red River.  Sam's Town Shreveport will act at the host facility, where besides the great hotel accommodations, you can enjoy on-site access to a pool, a spa, several restaurants, and more.  Close to the meeting location there are shopping and entertainment for all ages.  Be sure to mark your calendars and also share with others who might benefit from attending this conference.  The conference activities begin on June 6 and conclude around noon on June 9.

Our theme this year is, "AMI....The Evolution Continues", which is appropriate because as many of us have begun deploying various AMI technologies we are discovering that we must evolve to handle new processes, concerns, and challenges.  Whether we are trying to explain the benefits to our customers, address security concerns, or handle theft of service issues, they each must be approached a bit differently than we might have in the past.

So once again, please take this opportunity to learn from others in our industry and share your experiences, while enjoying visiting with old friends and colleagues or making new ones as you spend time together during this meeting.

Please complete the attached registration form and return it to me by May 15, 2010.  The registration fee is only $175.00, which covers the entire event, including the Monday evening dinner.  You can bring one guest to the dinner and evening event at no additional charge (see form for additional information).

For reservations at the Sam's Town Hotel, please call them directly at 1-877-429-0711.  Be sure to mention that you are with the Southwest Electrical Metering Association to receive the special rate of only $89.00 per night.  Reservations must be made by May 4, 2010 to be assured the discounted rate.

Feel free to forward this to anyone else you believe would benefit from attending the conference.  I look forward to seeing you there!
